The Story of Bluff 2 Boat Ramp

Run Devonport Fun Run was the brainchild of Kerry Stubbs in 2009, delivered under the Cradle Coast Sports and Events banner. In 2014, the event was acquired by Michael Bonney, continuing its growth and community impact.

In September 2021, the rights and ownership of Run Devonport were purchased by Everyday Lions Events, marking the beginning of an exciting new chapter.

We are incredibly proud to lead this event into the future and sincerely thank Michael Bonney and Cradle Coast Sports and Events for entrusting this iconic fun run to us.

In September 2022, the event was rebranded as Bluff 2 Boat Ramp and introduced a fresh new course showcasing Devonport’s New Living City precinct. The new format strengthened the event’s identity as a vibrant, community-focused celebration of movement.

Bluff 2 Boat Ramp is a family-friendly, inclusive, and affordable event where everyone can participate. With 1.5km, 5km and 10km distances, all starting and finishing at the Bluff, there is truly something for everyone.

The growth has been incredible:

• 2023 – Surpassed 1,000 participants for the first time in the event’s history
• 2024 – Grew to 1,500 runners and walkers
• 2025 – Became Australia’s richest 10km event for both male and female athletes

As 2026 approaches, our goal is clear: 2,000 runners and walkers on the start line.
